Arrest Support

Baltimore organizers and activists protesting racial injustice and other forms of oppression should know that, in the event of their arrest, they will have legal support to defend them from the same abusive police power upholding oppression. Prior to direct actions, BALT’s Arrest Support Team distributes the hotline phone number to organizers and provides information about what to do if you are arrested. If arrested, protesters and activists can call the hotline to contact the Arrest Support Team for immediate practical support and assistance navigating the pretrial detention process.

BALT monitors our arrest support hotline during actions upon request only. If you are planning an action in Baltimore City and want to request arrest support, please contact our Arrest Support team at baltprotestsupport@proton.me. (As a courtesy to us, we ask that you submit requests 7-10 days in advance of planned action dates, or if you can’t, then as soon as possible. We do understand the need to mobilize rapidly in extenuating circumstances.)
